Sir Joe Mahop #2104.
Writing this tribute has been a difficult task for us. Growing up in the 1970s was a joyful time, and we had lots of fun. September 1970 marked a significant milestone in our lives as we transitioned from primary to secondary school. Passing the common entrance examination and gaining admission to Sasse College was a source of pride for our families and communities,
Sasse College, a prestigious institution, has produced distinguished individuals who have made remarkable contributions to society. Within its walls, we were shaped and molded, learning to embrace challenges and responsibilities. Sir Joe Mahop embodied the spirit of Sasse College, demonstrating excellence in all aspects of his life.
The news of his passing on Christmas Day was shocking and painful. We still struggle to come to terms with the loss, while taking comfort in the knowledge that he lived a life of purpose and fulfillment. Sir Joe, you did well on earth. We are certain your mission was fulfilled.
Leaving the world a better place is a rare and noble achievement, inspired by the Almighty Creator Himself. Those you have left behind, your family, friends, and the SOBA '70 family will continue to uphold and strengthen your enduring legacy.
Farewell, Sir Joe. May your soul rest in perfect peace.
Sobanly,
SOBA '70 Class (Diaspora)
