With love in the air, Garland, Texas, witnessed a flurry of romantic gestures on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Soban couples strolled together through the charming streets, sharing tender moments under the dusk. Traditionally, our Love Fest has served as a cherished chapter event aimed at expressing gratitude to our Sobanese for their unwavering love and support in all Soba-related endeavors. During this festive occasion, we come together to celebrate the bonds of friendship and camaraderie. This time-honored tradition strengthens our connections and reinforces the spirit of unity among us. The President and First Lady of SOBA Dallas took delight to be the chief host for the 2024 Love Fest. One could feel the warmth from miles away.
The program commenced with a heartfelt opening prayer led by our esteemed Fr. Desmond Ndikum (#9105 of SOBA 2003). Following this, the President, Moses Sona (#5308 of SOBA 1992), welcomed the guests and later guided the Sobanese to their designated tables for the item 11.
The evening's highlight unfolded with a touching Love Sharing session, where gentlemen of all ages approached the box of rose flowers at the center of the stage, each selecting one to present to their Sobanese for a tender kiss.
This moment added a memorable touch to the night’s proceedings, fostering bonds of affection and unity among all attendees.

Following the interlude of love sharing was a guest speaker Dr. Prudence Iyok, a marriage counselor addressed the house on the importance of communication among husband and wife.

The moment when gentlemen expressed their appreciation for the ladies was truly remarkable. Stories of how each couple met were shared, illuminating the room with warmth and nostalgia. Emotions ran deep as love stories of every hue unfolded, from oldest to youngest, and including our esteemed guests. Gentlemen took the opportunity to thank their partners for their unwavering love and support, showering them with Valentine’s gifts. It was not only a touching gesture but also a valuable lesson for young Sobans, offering insights into the journey of marriage and relationships.

The night continued with a segment of awards captured by the Publicity Secretary, Terence Ndime (#7635 of SOBA 2002). The winners of the awards were as follows.
